Year 1 strategy: HNW patrons in HK

Per 5-Year Vision, Year 1 success = 1-3 anchor patrons at $100k-1M level. Single point of failure for the whole foundation.

Targets:

  • HK family offices (healthcare-aligned) — 5-10 priority targets
  • HK healthcare philanthropists — 5 priority targets
  • ESF / HKIS / CDNIS parent community (peer parents with means) — warm-intro pool
  • HKU + CUHK alumni network — warm-intro pool

Active projects

Channels (in priority order)

  1. HNW patrons (Year 1 P0) — one-on-one warm intros
  2. Individual giving (Year 2+) — once wiki + brand are live
  3. Grants we receive (Year 2+) — Croucher, HK Jockey Club Charities Trust, HMRF, possibly NIH R-series via fiscal sponsor
  4. Corporate sponsorships (Year 3+) — HK pharma, family-business CSR
  5. Events (Year 2+) — small annual gala once supporter base exists

Audit trail

Every donation logged in finance/{YYYY}-Q{N}-receipts.md (_private: true). Every patron interaction in people/_patrons/{name}.md same turn (_private: true).

  • Donor wall on public wiki? (default: opt-in)
  • Minimum recognized gift threshold?
  • Naming-rights policy
